Windshield Replacement Cost in Regina

Windshield Replacement Cost in Regina (2026)

In Regina, a new windshield costs anywhere from $50 to more than $1,400. Where you land depends on two things: what you drive and how you pay. With an SGI package policy, you pay only your $50–$100 deductible. Paying cash, you cover the full price.

Here’s what to expect before you pick up the phone.

What you’ll pay if you pay cash

These are typical out-of-pocket ranges in Regina. Your exact price depends on your vehicle’s year, make, model, and trim.

Vehicle typeTypical cash priceWhy
Standard vehicles (sedans, basic trucks, older models)$350–$550Simple glass, no cameras or sensors
Newer SUVs, crossovers and trucks (2018+)$550–$900Pricier glass, plus $300–$500 for ADAS calibration
Premium and luxury vehicles$800–$1,400+Specialty glass, heated or heads-up display windshields, advanced calibration

What you’ll pay through insurance

When you go through SGI, you pay your deductible and insurance covers the rest, no matter what the total comes to.

  • SGI package policy (Auto Pak): $50–$100. Whether the job costs $400 or $1,400, that’s all you pay.
  • Standard SGI plate coverage: $700. You pay the first $700 and SGI covers the rest, so claiming pays off when the total is higher than that.
  • Third-party add-on (Sandbox, CAA, Co-operators and others): varies, but usually well under $700, because it covers part of the gap between your deductible and SGI’s.

Why newer vehicles cost more

Most vehicles built since 2018 have a camera behind the windshield that runs lane-keeping, automatic braking, and adaptive cruise. After a new windshield goes in, that camera has to be recalibrated. Calibration on its own runs $300–$500 or more.

That often pushes the total past $700. So even on basic plate coverage, a claim usually saves you money on a newer vehicle: you pay $700 instead of $900–$1,400. Learn more about ADAS calibration.

Why there’s no flat price

Windshields aren’t one-size-fits-all. Price changes with:

  • The glass itself: thickness, curve, tint, and coatings
  • Built-in features like rain sensors, heating elements, or a heads-up display
  • The calibration your make and model needs
  • How easy the right glass is to get for less common vehicles

That’s why we quote by vehicle. Give us your year, make, and model and we’ll give you a real number.

Claim or cash: which makes sense?

  • You have a package policy: claim. You pay $50–$100 instead of hundreds.
  • Standard plates, newer vehicle with ADAS: a claim usually wins, since the total often tops $700.
  • Standard plates, older vehicle without ADAS: cash is often about the same or cheaper. We’ll tell you honestly.

A glass claim won’t affect your SGI rates, we handle the paperwork, and most windshields are replaced the same day.
