Mike’s Auto Glass
FAQs
Mike’s Auto Glass receives lots of questions from our customers. We hope that sharing some of them with you will answer questions you might have.
How do I know if my auto glass can be repaired rather than replaced?
If the windshield damage is smaller than the size of a toonie, we may be able to repair it. Anything larger will most likely result in full windshield replacement. You can visit the SGI site for a more detailed description.
How long should an auto glass repair or replacement take?
Replacements are often performed within ½ a day. Do not drive your vehicle for at least one hour after a windshield replacement is completed. This gives the adhesive time to set. We recommend that you drop your vehicle off in the morning and pick it up at the end of the day.
Will you vacuum my vehicle after the service?
Yes, our technicians will vacuum up any pieces of broken glass in your vehicle.
Can you guarantee that the chip or crack will be invisible after the repair is completed?
We cannot guarantee that the chip or crack will be completely invisible, as a slight blemish or imperfection is normal with a successful repair.
Will I have to wait at the shop with my vehicle?
It is not necessary to wait with your vehicle; however, we ask that you leave your keys with the technicians.
What if my windshield leaks after being replaced?
If Mike’s Auto Glass installed the windshield for you, we will fix the problem at no cost as part of our warranty against leakage.
ow soon after an auto glass repair can I wash my vehicle?
Our technicians recommend you wait at least 24 hours before washing your vehicle, but after that you should have no problems in the car wash.
